Led by members of the Serious Cycling Team, the Peloton rolled out for the fifth edition of the 151km GRANFONDO with pro-level support by Campagnolo and Tesla. Faced with varied terrain AND weather conditions, athletes from 10 countries and over 16 states started the day under a canopy of clouds but were rewarded with sun breaking through as they reached the KOM finish atop the Santa Monica Mountains. All recovered with massage and refueled on a gourmet buffet lunch in the Pavilion while their bikes were being cleaned and stored, ready for Day Two.

The heart and soul of this cycling experience was captured by a master cycling photographer, Brian Black Hodes, of VeloImages. This is only scratches the surface of the weekend. For more of Brian's amazing shots, please visit our Facebook photo album:

Awards Celebration and Brunch, hosted by Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village and Vintage Grocers.

To complete the Malibu GRANFONDO experience on Day Two, athletes had the option of an Individual Time Trial or a group recovery ride along the Pacific Coast Highway. Post ride, athletes enjoyed Sunday Brunch and our Awards Ceremony, featuring this year's limited edition, hand made tile for all.
